Policies and Procedures

Cathedral School uses an on-line application process which is available on our website www.cathedral-school.net. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee. Hard copies of supporting documents (listed on the last page of the on-line application and below) may be submitted by hand delivery or U.S. mail delivery. Cathedral School cannot  obtain documents for you or make copies for you. Faxed copies can often be incomplete and/or illegible and therefore we do not take them.

All students applying must submit a copy of their birth certificate, immunization record, Catholic baptismal certificate (if applicable) and First Communion certificate (if applicable). In addition, students applying for grades 1-8 must submit a copy of their current report card, last year’s report card (if applicable) as well as standardized test results such as NC EOG, Writing, ITBS, etc. Applications without required documents are considered incomplete and will NOT be presented to the principal for review until completion.

All new students are admitted to Cathedral on a sixty day probationary basis. This allows parents, teachers, and administrators to evaluate the student’s opportunity for success.

Cathedral School will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin. Admission priority is given to Catholic students. A student presents a baptismal certificate from a Catholic church as confirmation of this. All other denominations are welcome when space is available. All students enrolled at Cathedral School will participate in religion class and attend weekly mass. Once a child is accepted, re-enrollment is not denied should a child/family change their church affiliation.
