August - September 2008 Message from the HSA Board

Welcome back to Cathedral School! We are looking forward to a fantastic school year in 2008-2009!
All of the activities that the HSA organizes are designed to meet our goal of enhancing the community of Cathedral School. Here are some of the ways that we will be serving the school this year:

- We will organize two fabulous social events -Fall Festival and International Night. The Fall Festival will be held on October 11 at The Knights of Columbus - it will include delicious food, fun games and inflatables. International Night will be held during the spring semester - more details about that will be available soon!

- We will publish our weekly newsletter, The Friday Knight News.

- We will have quarterly HSA meetings to let you know about what is happening at Cathedral School.

- We will have events to appreciate our teachers. We have already held a Welcome Back Teacher Breakfast. We will also organize a Teacher Appreciation Lunch in December as well as Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

- Plus we will organize other important events like Secret Santa and Honors Breakfasts.

Please see the link to the right for a list of all the ways in which parents can serve the school this year.

This year, we plan to enhance our "Easy Money" program, which includes a collection of various rewards programs such as Box Tops and linking grocery store and Target customer cards. The funds we receive from the "Easy Money" program will fund events such as the Back to School Breakfasts and Teacher Appreciation that are not self-supporting.
